The Hoppiest of Easters!

Hey all!

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend, whatever holiday you celebrate! In my family, we celebrate Easter even though we don't go to church and aren't religious. Most holidays in my family are just that - family celebrations! On Easter, we eat lots of food, hunt for eggs, and get big baskets full of goodies.

This year, my parents said my best friend Harper could come with me to my Grandma and Grandpa A's house for our Easter festivities - I was so excited! Harper is so cool, and I always have a good time with her. Harper's dad is a lawyer and they live with her brother Julian in a really nice penthouse in the Downtown area of our city. Harper always has the neatest stuff, and I was looking forward to see what she'd wear on Easter.

My Grandma had baskets sitting out for us, and lots of Easter treats! Even better, my cousins Georgie and Callie were there - they're twins. Sometimes it makes me wish I had a twin!

All of our baskets were filled to the brim with treats, toys, and games. I'm super competitive so any game is fun in my book!

I opened the basket with trembling hands - I always tremble when I'm excited!

Bunny socks! I love collecting weird socks - I have some turkey socks for Thanksgiving too! Someday I hope to have socks for all occasions for my collection. So cute!

A yo-yo! Oh man, I am a bit klutzy but I can't wait to learn!

Clay! I can't wait to make tiny things out of it. Tiny things are the best, don't you agree?

And a coloring book! And it's green like my basket! My Grandma is so thoughtful.

And some candy eggs to top it all off! Thank you so much, Grandma and Grandpa!

My Grandma and Grandpa had a basket ready for Harper, too! Isn't that nice?

Harper seems much more ladylike in while she opens her basket, but trust me - she was more excited than I was!

A plush bunny! She had glittery eyes. Very cute!

And...

A card game! Harper and I love to play games together.

A ball and cup toy! I'm no good at these but Harper nailed it on the first try!

And Harper got a coloring book too! More fun things we can do together.

And some candy eggs for Harper too! My Grandma is the best, isn't she?

Before we left, we posed with the Easter set up...

...and so did Georgie and Callie!

Happy Easter, Passover, Solstice - whatever you celebrate!

A Tour of My Room

Hello all!

My room is one of my favorite places in the world. It's cozy, full of my most treasured possessions, and best of all - it is so me! Lucky for you, I'm going to give you a tour of my room today.

You would not believe how much cleaning I had to do to make my room look like this...

This is my desk. I spend a lot of time here "studying" (read: watching Doctor Who on Netflix and hoping my mom doesn't catch me!).

Speaking of Doctor Who, here's my Tom Baker scarf that my mom knitted for me. It's really fuzzy and warm!

I have lots of candy on my desk - I have a big sweet tooth! Cookies, candy, cake... You name it, I love it, and I probably have some stashed somewhere in my room.

This is my hamster, Norman. He's pretty tame, but once you get him out of his cage, he loves to climb up and rest on your shoulder! Sometimes I let him sleep there while I do my homework.

And this is my dog, Rory. He's my faithful companion, so I named him after one of my favorite companions of the Doctor!

Sometimes he does tricks, but he gets bored easily. His favorite hobbies are eating, sleeping, and following me around.

These are Rory's favorite things - his food dish, his toy, his favorite treats (Snausages - and they better be the breakfast kind!), and his cozy bed.

This is part of my book collection. I love reading! Someday I hope to collect and read all of the American Girl books. What do you like to read?

Here you can see my toys and my bed. My most special dolls stay on my bed - my Molly and Emily American Girl dolls, and a Lalaloopsy my Grandma A gave me!

Molly is my favorite doll, because she has glasses like me! Here is some of my collection for Molly. I keep asking for her table and chairs for my birthday. I sure hope I get them! I'll be sure to show you more of my Molly collection later.

Here's my nightstand. Some of Rory's stuff lives around here, and so does my clarinet. I take lessons for it on Wednesdays. I'm not nearly as good as I'd like to be!

You should be glad you can't hear the squeaking through the screen...

Here's a closeup - you can see my alarm clock and plant, and this is also where I keep my ring, my phone, and a picture of me and my good friend, Margot, at my birthday party last year!

These are my toys - I love Doctor Who, Despicable Me, and My Little Pony. I'm trying hard to find Doctor Hooves but every time I find one, I've already spent my allowance!

I have some decorations in my room. Here's my big letter "C" - for Charlie, of course!

And here's my closet! I'm kind of a clothes hoarder. It's a little stuffed... I might need to clean it out and sell some things soon!

Now that I think about it, I'm a little bit of a shoe hoarder too...

Ta da! That's my room. I hope you enjoyed the tour!

Thanks for stopping by!

Greetings from the Geek!

Hello all!

My name is Charlie. You may have heard about me - or maybe not. But, now I'm taking the time to officially introduce myself and start my own blog! Won't you be my (blog) neighbor?

First, a little about me... I love Doctor Who. It's my favorite show by far. I also love Despicable Me, and minions. I also love books, science, writing, and reading. I'm a proud geek but I'll try anything once - baseball, clarinet, ballet, snowboarding. You name it, I've done it, or I'm going to try soon!

Here's just a few of the things I've tried throughout my 10 years of life...

I've played the piano for guests at my Grandma & Grandpa A's Christmas party...

I've flown in a hot air balloon over my city...

I've held my friend's little sister (and I didn't drop her! Phew!)...

I love playing in the snow - which is good because it snows a lot where I live...

I have an American Girl doll named Molly who I collect things for...

I've had a big blowout birthday bash (say that five times fast!) with all my friends...

...with an awesome pile of presents...

...and an epic Twister game that I lost terribly!

This is my dog, Rory. He's named after one of my favorite Doctor Who characters!

Well, that's the start of some of the things I've done. I'm starting ballet at the Ballet West Academy soon, and I'm so excited! And baseball season is coming up soon, so my Little League team is starting spring training. And... well, you'll see!
