Kar-rah-tay!

Greetings all! Sorry for the delay between posts lately; I've been so busy! I do lots of after-school activities, one of which I'm going to share with you today - karate!

I started karate a couple of years ago, and I'm already a black belt! I was so proud of that achievement. My dearest ambition, besides becoming a scientist, is to become a ninja.

First, you should always stretch before starting a physical activity. You don't want to hurt yourself!

To demonstrate my awesome ninja powers, my friend Reine (reluctantly) volunteered to hold my practice pad.

"I promise not to hurt you, Reine!" I said. "My ninja skills can only be used for good, after all."

"Ready? I'm about to chop!" I said

"I think so," said Reine nervously.

I demonstrated some seriously awesome ninja moves, if I do say so myself.

Backwards ninja chop!

Ninja chop!

Ninja kick!

At the end of a practice, you bow to your sensei.

"Thanks for helping me, Reine!" I said.

"You're welcome, Charlie, but don't ask me to again!"

Have you ever tried karate?

  1. I have not ever tried karate- but it looks like fun! I think Charlie and I share an ambition in science and ninjaness. (Of course, I can't ever be a ninja if I don't do karate.) : )

    1. Karate helps hone your ninja abilities, but you're already a ninja because you're awesome!

I've done it since I was five but I'm only a brown belt now because I joined the adult class in my local karate school when I was... *cough* nine.
